This year we worked with The National Archives to create Spydle - a bumper book packed with puzzles covering 500 years of international espionage. There's plenty of treachery, code-cracking and logical deduction, with tales of rogue agents, botched assassinations and even spies who never actually existed at all.
The book is split into 130 puzzles over six chapters, with each puzzle inspired by an actual document unearthed from the National Archives - some of which have never been seen before. The book works through chronologically, from early Elizabethan espionage to Cold-War conundrums - although you're free to dip in and out as you please.
The book is packed with puzzles of all types, from logical deduction puzzles to word and number puzzles. No previous solving experience is required - just a thirst for knowledge and a penchant for puzzles!
Happy solving!
